[pchelpers] Re: video card? how do I know what mine is

Shut down the system.
Open the case.
Look at the video card for marks identifying the maker, model number and 
so on.
If necessary, remove it and read the number on top of its main chip (you 
can often search for drivers based on the chip number instead of the 
card model).
If you were looking for it under windows settings, that only shows you 
what windows was told (or believes) it is (not necessarily so).

The above approach is best, although it requires a screwdriver and a 
modicum of courage.
