[pchelpers] Re: video card

Thanks for providing that extra bit of information. If your brightness 
is set on max, then it's not getting any brighter without adjusting its 
boost voltage (internal to the monitor). Has it been set that way for 
long? If so, the tube is showing age through this, and the image will 
slowly darken to nothing.

This just proves the monitor can generate a test pattern, but not 
whether the picture from your PC has anything wrong with it. It will 
probably still look dark.
