Vista home premium.
After uninstalling i-tunes (using add/remove) and quicktime several times
trying to get it
out of this 'loop', tonight I downloaded i-tunes 8. (had to uninstall
the previous one as administrator)
I also had to install it with administrator rights. It actually
installed.
I was able to create a playlist of the 'songs' from the Feb 09 Awake,
but could not get anything to actually play from the i-tunes program. I
could actually SEE the program tonight.
Anyway, when I rebooted.... so much for thinking I had it installed....
because I am back to the SAME square 1.
Microsoft install comes on and says configuring i-tunes. Then it must
restart. <same loop I have been in all this time>. When it restarts,
back to the same box, configuring, then restarting.
I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
