I believe it will restore Drive D: where the restore function was 
originally installed on the Physical drive
and the C: drive which contains the system.  Will it ignore another 
partion that has been installed on the same hard drive or will it 
overlay it?

At least the instructions indicate it will restore the system to its 
original set up.
