There is probably a easier way to do it, but here is what I was told to do when
I got the laptop that has vista on it. I got a cable that said something like
"easytransfer" and it said on it that it is made for one computer that has
vista on it. I downloaded the driver from the cd that was with it. I now
connected the two computers with the cable via USB. It said I can pick which
files I wanted to transfer, will try it when I get home this afternoon.
My son had told me the fastest way is to take the harddrive out of the old
computer, get a box to use it external, and connect it to the laptop to
transfer whatever I want. But that sounds too complicated (to me) Does someone
know if that would have worked better? Or has someone done it with the file
transfer program in Windows?

A friend of mine just got a new computer.
I believe it is Vista home.
I think she is using xp now.
Anyway, she wants to know how to transfer games and other files from the
old pc to the new.
Does someone know of a url with instructions how to do this or have some
easy instructions I could pass on to her please?
Thank you,
Re-Na
