[pchelpers] thumbnails pictures how do I get it back?

Hi I lost the function of viewing the  pictures windows explorer  something 
must have been turned off I can't figure what it is I have the same flowery  
icons for all the pictures  I have named them I know what they are if I click 
preview they come up but I should see the pictures  as thumbnails  My OS is 
Vista Ultimate --any ideas? Thanks Jackie
