No, they didn't.
And yes I did try and I forget what exactly happened, but I think I got 
a message telling me that I didn't have permission to install it.
I've done so many things today trying to uninstall it, I can't remember 
for sure but I did try and wasn't able to.
Anyway, I'm glad it's gone. 

I wasn't wanting Vista on my laptop but it just worked out that way.  
Most of the time it doesn't cause me any problems at all.  But the 
'administrator' rights does get to be a pain sometimes!
