(Seriously, I want to put some stuff on cd's.  But as you recall from my 
questions in
the past about cd/r/rw's and cd/r's, I've still not conquered that task fully.  
I
want to be able to use the programs that I burn FROM the cd's.  I need to 
experiment
with that, cause if I then delete the programs and then can't run them from the 
cd's
I've burned, whoahhhh, that would be bad.)

Maybe it's time to start over again, save all your important stuff by
burning a cd or cds, then fdisk, format and reinstall everything. I
guarantee, you'll come up with space you didn't know that you had
