You should be able to install .3 over the existing .2
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
If not back up your profile.
C:\documents and
settings\owner(yourname)\mozilla\firefox\profiles\sofdsfg.default
Just copy the ast folder 
Delete firefox then instal.3
Open the new install to let the profile folder be created, the copy the
CONTENTS of the backup profile folder and past into the new profile
folder.
Then go to 
TOOLS>OPTIONS>UPDATE TAB and remove every checkmarked box.

I'm was running Firefox 2.0.0.3

Yesterday I had a window to pop up saying that it wanted me to update to
Firefox 2.0.0.2

I checked the "about Firefox" tab and I was at 2.0.0.3 so I said no.

Then the box said that it would be updated on next restart.

I re-started it and it did go through the update process.

Then a box came up saying that Java 6. (whatever) was not compatible
with the 2.0.0.2 update and it was disabling it.

I checked the "about" again and now I'm running 2.0.0.2.

How do I get back to 2.0.0.3 and keep it from "updating"
to 2.0.0.2.
