Go ahead and get rid of Systray; the toolbar will still be there.
Usually systray is there for the speaker icon.

I was referring to a business environment; you normally want to get
rid of anything that is not needed to do what the particular job
needs. The more you get rid of, the more stable and faster the system
will tend to be.

I was reconfiguring 5 new HP computers last night. They went from
taking several minutes to start up to no more than about a minute by
the time I got done with them.
