TeaTimer is turned off by default for good reasons. It's not a good idea
to enable the geeky features of any program, especially a security
program, unless you've at least read the manual. This is included in the
program's help file and is also available online at
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/tutorial/index.html
and explains what to do.

According to most tests, TeaTimer provides almost no help against real
threats, so it's more of a nuisance than a help even for people willing
to read the manual, so i'd turn it off.

Why are your friends not using the much more effective Windows Defender?

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
