[pchelpers] Re: sound card

  Hi Ellen, 
     I have the same sound card (HP System with sound card on the mother board) 
having similar problem. Seems to have started a week or two ago.  I would be 
real interested in your results. I do have a maintenance contract on the 
computer so probably the motherboard would be replaced it in fact the onboard 
sound card is bad.  I have not tried downloading and installing new drivers 
yet.

  I ran scandisk & installed the new driver. No problems since then. Dunno 
which was the problem/fix though. :-)
