[pchelpers] snap

I was setting and typing on my computer this morning when there was a 
loud electrical snap that came
from one of my computers.
I don't know which one it was, there was no smoke and no smell and they 
both are running fine.
Wonder what it was. Could a bug crawled in and get zapped. It did sound 
like a bug zapper.
