Hi Arlene,
Sunday, March 18, 2007, 6:02:20 PM, you wrote:

128MB + 64MB = 192MB, less 1MB for use for video, gives 191MB.

You probably meant "164 memory size error"; preciseness is important
when it comes to error messages.

The total memory size for a 256MB and a 128MB should be 384MB;
subtract 1MB for video memory use, and you should have 383MB. You
NEED to know this, since if you do not get 383 or 384, then something
is wrong. If you do get 383 or 384, and you are able to boot into
Windows, then you don't have a problem, and you've been making a fuss
over nothing.
If you have a 256MB and a 128MB already, why are you buying another
128MB?

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
