Hi Billy
What a funny coincidence; i was just going to post that very same
question two days ago, and then decided to first do some research.
My conclusion is that the best method is to bend the screen as flat as
possible without damaging the hinge (to rule out any possibility of
getting a drop onto the keyboard) and to use a microfiber cloth, which i
haven't had a chance to get yet, that is only barely damp with distilled
water.
Some claim that the cloth alone is enough, but i would think there is
less friction and less microscopic scratching if the cloth is not dry.
In case something doesn't come off despite keeping the damp cloth there
for a while, a 50% distilled water and 50% isopropyl alcohol
(=isopropanol) solution seems to be safe for at least occasional use,
and it was very effective on mine too.
In case you want to read more than my conclusion, here's what i found:

The two biggest problem seem to be
A) some people and even serious Web sites confuse alcohol, which is the
normal expression for ethyl alcohol, with isopropyl alcohol
B) isopropyl alcohol is sometimes called rubbing alcohol, but this
often/usually also means denatured ethyl alcohol or isopropyl alcohol to
which oil or other substances have been added
This results in contradicting claims that say "alcohol" or rubbing
alcohol are OK, good, or bad when they are in fact (usually) bad.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
