I've only ever used omnipage (or any other text recognition stuff) a little
but I've always setup the document on the scanner, scanned whatever I want,
text - images etc, any number of pages, then saved as a word document (this
is an omnipage option) then I've closed omnipage and opened the document in
word and done whatever was necessary.
I don't ever have both programmes open at the same time because the scanner
is connected to a network server and I use word on my computer elsewhere on
the network. I have to save the scanned document then go back to my
computer and continue working from there.
Cheers
Nigel
