            What  do you mean, "went back to the document"?  If you had it open 
in
            Word,  and tried to use some other program with it, it will fail.  
You
            need to close it first before trying to open it in another program.

            In  some  cases,  you  need  to exit the program completely, or, 
worse
            case, restart the computer.

The document was closed.  I reopened Word, went to open the document (reopen 
it), and
got that error message.  I had just created it 5 minutes ago though.  (I wound 
up
having to scan it again.)
