[pchelpers] reliable test of response times of antivirus programs

Check out this very surprising and dramatic graph!
http://winnow.oitc.com/AntiVirusPerformance.html

It's based on testing carried out by the reputable Malware Incident
Reporting & Termination (MIRT) team at CastleCops and shows that AntiVir
is by far the best antivirus, especially in dealing with new threats.
The methodology of the tests is explained on
http://winnow.oitc.com/avcentral.html and praised on
http://sunbeltblog.blogspot.com/2007/02/recognizing-paul-and-robin-laudanski.html

PS
I intend to find out why an antispam and antiphishing company that is in
addition a partner of CastleCops has such dubious and shoddy
"congratulations you won" popups on its website and whether there is any
guarantee that personal info added to the junk sites that OITC links to
like www.freelotto.com/register.asp?skin=FlashWinner2&partner=1051177
will not result in spam and identity theft.

An even bigger problem is that security experts and security companies
should be teaching users NOT to fall for scams and NOT to click on
flashing get-rich-quick schemes etc.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
