[pchelpers] Re: reformatting hard drive

Boot your PC from your 98 start up/ boot floppy, if you haven't got one. 
make one before you start or borrow one, it doesn't really matter that it 
wasn't created from you system.
Then at the prompt, select START PC WITH CD ROM SUPPORT
 Then aT next prompt,  A:   TYPE C:
Then at the next prompt, C: TYPE      FORMAT space C: THEN hit enter  or it 
maybe Format space c:space/S ( you know at the next prompt whether the first 
one is the correct one)

You will get a warning, "all data will be deleted, do you want to continue, 
Y/N type Y Enter.
During this you will be asked for a volume #, just  forget it and continue.

When the format is done, you will get a C: prompt
Type the letter of you CD rom drive, ie D:setup then enter
Put in your CD and follow prompts
at the next prompt, press X and follow the instructions from there
