[pchelpers] Re: reboot/ 'accounts changes'

Is it possible that you have corruption in your registry? Is there a dos
mode in XP? In win98SE I would type scanreg /restore and pick a good
registry from before this problem. I don't have XP yet so I don't know if
such a thing is possible for you. Maybe having restore points is meant to
replace the need to do this.

Subject: [pchelpers] reboot/ 'accounts changes'

When I reboot my pc, it changes something in my Outlook Express options.
It takes pop.cox-internet.com that I have listed in accounts, and changes it
to numbers.
It takes my account name that has a . in it <dot/period> and changes it to
@.
As a result of those two changes, I start getting double emails again.
I can go in each time I reboot, change those two things in options/
accounts, and all is fine again.
But, is there a tweek to get it to STICK so I don't have to do it each time
I reboot! ?

Win XP home.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
