[pchelpers] Re: re slow firefox 3

I am running Vista SP1 Ultimate and Business on 5 computers no problems
I am also running XP Pro SP3 on 2 other computers I have NO issues with
Vista SP1 -- I remember when testing XP there were so many complaints at
first when it went RTM as the the Updates came the glitches gradually
disappeared . One thing people do not want to update their peripherals or
their hardware. That cost money - sometimes you can get away with a few
adjustments as you know Microsoft including others are out to make money -
some are still operating Windows 95, 98, Me - Windows 2000(my favorite) it
depends how much you use the computer, and what you are willing to spend.
The last few years the manufacturers are lagging way behind at updating
their hardware ..even if you just bought their hardware they try to get away
with making you buy another type that's when there is a loud outcry from the
angry public. You end up with generic drivers or pulling out the hardware
and using something else until they decide to get on the bandwagon . For
instance I had a problem with RCA Digital Cable Phone Modem - with both XP
and Vista They finally came out with a new one and a good driver which runs
excellent with Vista SP1 and XP and wireless . It depend how compatible
Firefox is , IE8 ,Opera. or other browsers- with your windows You would be
surprised how the add-ins will crash your browsers many are in the beta
stages. What happens the companies have deadlines and they will put out
their wares or software out before they are fully tested and ready to use at
our expense and then then our headaches begin . I have 2 printers
networked one with Vista (HP office ethernet combo) , and XP pro the
other (PhotoSmart double sided printer) is 10 yrs old works well with XP
but not with Vista..

Have a great day Jackie
