Go to View, Header and Footer. This brings up another box with several
selections and Insert Page Number is one of the selections. I would
suppose that this would also depend on the particular version of Word
that you have. I think it has been that way since 95 or 97 for sure.

Subject: [pchelpers] question for Word users
Sometimes someone sends me a word document at it will say page 1 or 4,
page 2 of 4, page 3 of 4 and page 4 of 4 on each page <as an example> .
How do I automatically get Word to add the 'of 4' part?
I know how to put a page number at the top or bottom of the page.
I see where you can click on 'format' for some other options, but I'm
not sure what to do in there to make it like the above example.
Sincerely,
