Personally, I prefer to install to a new partition, and reinstall any
programs that I want; that helps get rid of "dead wood", and helps me
remember to save any registration keys. After I've gotten any data off
of the old Windows partition (I store most stuff on a separate data
partition, so there's not much to save), I delete the contents of the
old Windows partition, ready to reuse later.

Speaking os saving keys, save your WPA.DBL file (it's in
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32), so that you can put it back in after you
reinstall, so as to not use up one of your lives.
