Has anyone on this list (other than John) that has tried linux?
Mandrake 8.1 was the easiest linux I've ever installed...it
detected all my hardware, and was online (with my cable modem)
without my having to change anything.
Though I didn't install it, it comes with Word Perfect Office suite too.
Not bad for free
