[pchelpers] Re: processors, which do you prefer?

Hi Re-na,

I agree with Tonia,

Do yourself a favor stay away from ME it is awful. I would go with Win2k Pro
myself. I would look for a Pentium 3 at 933 or above. Very reliable and will
do most anything a small user could ever dream of. I would also look into
the possibility of upgrading to a faster processor and bus speed at some
point if the motherboard will support it. Just me

Have a nice day,

Hiya Re-Na

I would pick Win2000 if your first choice was Win98.
They are very similar in many ways. The quick launch
toolbar is back...taken away in NT, and many other
utilities are in the same familiar places as in
Win98SE. So if your Dad is used to Win98, then Win2000
is the way to go. As for WinXP, it's still very new
and there will be a million bugs to be ironed out.
§;^)
Tests have shown it to be slower than Win2000 too.
Don't even consider WinME. 99% of the people I know
will reformat and install Win98SE or Win2000 if WinME
came preinstalled. It's a matter of weeks when they
will feel dissatisfied with it.

Just my 2¢ worth

Tonia
