I have a problem maybe someone can help me with. I upgraded my computer
(new motherboard, case, and processor,
video card, modem and so forth. and put on windows 98. on my old computer
I was using an epson 740 on lpt1
and an epson 3260 through my scanner on lpt2. after I upgraded I fixed up
the old computer for my wife to use and installed windows 95 on it using 2
hard drives a 1.2 and a 3.2 G and I took the epson 3260 printer and put
it on the old computer.
using the same type of software on her computer the printer does not work
properly. it will start to print and print a few lines
and print a garbled line with a line under it. and then prints all over
the place. seems to loose it's page orientation. also it appears to be
trying to print too many lines for the page size 8.5 x 11. I reduced the
top and bottom margins and it helped some but still does it.
I have reinstalled the printer driver and checked all the properties but
can't seem to find out whats causing it.
to check to see if it was the printer itself I installed it on my computer
and set it up and printed a document and
it printed fine (my computer is running windows 98) I printed the
document with word pad and then took the printer
back to the old computer and tried it the same way there and it did the same
thing printed a few lines and lost page
orientation it prints some line then form feeds and starts lines at
different margin spacing.
