Does the printer work? If not, then it may be on the wrong port.
Does the printer not get detected automatically when you connect it
and turn it on?
If it's not working on the desktop, then there's little point in
trying to connect to it from the laptop.

Is there a plus sign next to the name of your computer? Click on it,
and the printer name should be shown.

You need to use backslashes, not forward slashes. But, you should be
able to see the printer name in the step up above.
