No, no, no.

You don't need to copy the files (see below) but if you've never made 
backups of your files, the easy way to do that is to use the right mouse 
button to drag and drop (copy) the folder, not the contents. And if you 
ever want to choose all the files in a folder, use Ctrl+a, not the mouse 
or shift key.

Putting "blue file names" without the quotes into Google produces many 
pages that explain this, for example:

Those are compressed files. By design, WinXP compresses files
that do not get used, and, if you've left the default settings intact,
displays those files in blue.

In Windows Explorer, Tools > Folder Options > View > Advanced
settings: Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color.
