For those who haven't heard, StarOffice is free as part of the Google
Pack: http://pack.google.com. You can turn off everything but
StarOffice, and thus get only that.

IBM's Lotus Symphony can be downloaded here:
http://symphony.lotus.com/software/lotus/symphony/home.jspa
They advertise the Windows version as being for XP and Vista only,
although that might just mean that they don't support older versions.
You don't need an IBM ID, but you'll still need to give them a valid
email address. Be sure to read the privacy section; you'll want to
pick one of the boxes.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
