Hi Morris,

I think ME has System Restore, although it may have a slightly
different name.  Roll back to a day when you know it was working ok.

You can also open Explorer and go to Tools, Folder Options, File
Types, find the file type in question, and change the program that is
associated with it.  This is not always easy, though.

you can also, of course, reinstall OpenOffice. You may need to
UN-install it first.
