Scott,
  I do have a program on my computer called SpectorPro...and it is a 
keystroke, email, peer-to-peer watcher...etc.  Could this be doing it? I 
bought this program, and even have it....I did not download it off the Net. 
I don't think it is a Sony rootkit because I very rarely if ever play CD's 
on my computer.
  The brother didn't leave the program on my computer that he used to find 
the rootkit, so I am sorry about that....don't know the name.
Okay....as for other programs...I have  Search & Destroy; Ad-Aware; 
CCleaner; Clean Cashe 3.0; .....and I do have Norton Anti-virus!  (Okay, I 
now know after being on this site that having Norton is basically a cardinal 
sin, but I'm still learning!!  I don't want emails telling me how bad 
Symantec is!!  I will be switching my anti-virus....soon!)
  This is my personal computer, but me and my husband do have a Landscaping 
Company...and all the info for that company is on this computer.  So, that 
being said...I am very careful about what goes on this computer.  However, 
it is the only computer in the house on the Net and therefore I do have 
teenage boys who go on it.  They are great kids, and we are JW's, but I'm 
not naive as to what is accessible on the Net....that is why I have 
SpectorPro.
