I don't recall seeing anyone else reply to this... If you're trying to install, but files aren't being found, tell it to look for the files in C:\Windows, C:\Windows\System, and C:\Windows\System32. I often "cheat" that way when an install program can't find the files that it wants on the CD, but the files are already installed. If still can't find, use Windows' search function to try to find the files. Remember that if the install program is looking for xxxxxxxx.xxx, it will usually also accept xxxxxxxx.xx_ (note the very last letter; it's the important one), so be sure to search for both. Yes, USB and Firewire are different. I'm not sure if Win98 supports FireWire. Does the package indicate what version of Windows is supported? You might try a search on the web to see if you find anything useful. I got my dad's camera working after several days of poking at it and searching on the web for alternative programs. --Scott. > -----Original Message----- > From: Nigel Lemmon > Sent: Wednesday, July 31, 2002 11:15 pm > The camera is a Sony Digital Handicam model DCR-TRV110E with > a fire wire interface.
