Thanks Don, that's very thoughtful of you. But I have other mice. If memory
serves I've had the same problem with others. I wish I knew how it was
happening but I guess I'll just have to live with it. The work-around is
easy enough- Left-click stops working, right-click, and left-click is back.

Might try using another persons mouse. OR just get a new one. I've got
plenty of 'em. Give me your snail mail address and I'll send you one.
