*Another Way to Set NTFS File Level Permissions in XP Home*
In XP Pro, you can right click on any file or folder that's stored on an
NTFS-formatted partition, select Properties,
click the Security tab and set permissions to give (or deny) access to
the users or groups you select. XP Home,
though, doesn't "officially" support NTFS permissions, and you'll
normally find no Security tab in a file's or folder's
properties. A while back, we told you how you can choose Safe Mode and
log in as an administrator and the Security
tab appears. Well, there's also a third party program that adds the
Security tab and gives you the ability to set and
change access permissions in the graphic interface of XP Home. Best of
all, it's freeware. Check it out here

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
