Well, they're going to (or so I've heard) install apps that will monitor
what you do at all times. In other words, you better be doing your job at
ALL times or else! See, normally when you're on the phone with a customer,
you can browse the net while they rant or you're waiting for fixklez to get
finished. You can't make outgoing calls. So, if you're on the phone with a
customer and get disconnected, they'll be back in the queues full of steam.
No more free drinks. Just a lot of stuff that's not conducive to creature
comforts.
Most of the original people transferred to this new company. I interviewed
and they only wanted to hire me on a temp; contigent though. Like I'm gonna
sit around waiting for their call, ha!
So, if you weren't hired on at Symantec (Gold/Platinum support) or Spectrum,
they gave you a nice little bonus. Ahh..how I'll miss Symantec. </rant>
