Just like COM1-4, you must have a server running on those ports in order
for someone to "hack in".

And if LPT1 is hooked up to your printer, there's not likely to be any
hacking going on.

Based on what I've read, I would guess that NONE of the Lexmark stuff
that starts up automatically needs to be there for most people.
Uncheck all of the LEX* or LX* stuff so that it doesn't run anymore,
restart your computer, make sure that the stuff still isn't running,
and try printing something.
