Setting up mailing list software is a fine line; you have to get the
emails to go to all of the right people, and the readers need to be
able to reply to the list properly, and at the same time, servers need
to send error messages directly to the server to be handled.
Sometimes the servers are mis-behaved and send their reports to the
wrong email address.

I'm not entirely certain that this is the case here, though. I've been
on much higher-volume lists that didn't have such things happen except
once in a blue moon.

If you continue to get such messages for the same email address, more
than, say, a week apart (to give time for either the list software to
automatically unsubscribe that email address, or for the problem to
clear up on it's own), I'd start forwarding them to the moderator for
him/her to deal with.
