Last night, as I was reading my emails, I clicked onto the next mail and my PC, 
the hard drive I'm 99% sure, started making some very agricultural noises 
"clicks and ticking", then the plot froze up and I got the blue screen telling 
me to press any key to continue, I did and same thing happened, so I rebooted, 
and then got a blue screen saying "cannot read c drive", rebooted again, same 
message, rebooted and this time got "Dos screen telling me to press any key to 
reboot............switched off and went to bed.
Tried this morning and it went straight into a "dos" screen telling me reg 
files were corrupted and to use option 5 "command prompt only" and type in 
scanreg........I did and waited for something to happen, apart from the scanreg 
screen, but nothing else happened.
Put in "start-up disc, and ran Norton ghost from my "E" drive, restored C drive 
and it booted up fine..............any ideas what happened,.........about 19 
months ago, I installed a Fujitsu 20 gig HD (7200rev) and after 11 months it 
went wrong, and I got the blue screen saying "cannot read from C drive".  
Fujitsu replaced the drive, and it's been ok for about 7 months,  could it be 
ready to "die" again.............anyway thank goodness for my other drive and 
Norton Ghost.
