I'm pretty sure that if you tried out Thunderbird for more than 2 days
you'd never want to go back :-)

And if you adjust the setting to leave messages on the server, you can
try out Thunderbird while continuing to use OE, i.e. you'll prevent not
getting some mail in OE by having downloaded it with TB:
tools, account settings, server settings, leave message on server

Here are the reasons why i think you might want to at least try TB; it
only takes a few minutes to download and install (which is very easy and
a snap):

99% of all spam is zapped and there are practically no false positives.

Color-code (label) messages according to whether they're Important,
Work, Personal, To Do, Later or whatever you want.

"Instant" search according to sender, subject, message body.

Much safer than OE, which automatically executes the first message in
your Inbox including any vicious code in it (even when the preview pane
is turned off!), uses IE to render messages, and lets viruses directly
into Windows if there is a security hole.

Many extensions, for example one that lets you use Word's spell checker
in Thunderbird!

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
