 From that description it appears not all the virus contamination is 
gone yet. There may also be spyware on top of that. To backup your 
existing scan program, these online services should provide a double check:

Get spyware scanning sotware here (adaware):
http://www.lavasoft.com
and for additional protection try:
http://www.pestscan.com/
as it picks up a number of bugs the others miss.
