[pchelpers] no sound ??

If someone is suppose to have a sound card on their computer <I think it's 
either win 95 or 98> , but device manager only shows something that says either 
'wave' or 'midi'  (can't remember now which one it was), what do they need to 
check?

Programs that are suppose to play sound do not play sound.  

Suggestions please.
