[pchelpers] Re: need simple way to internet connect Windows 95 and XP systems.

Thank you John,

They are not networked together. They are merely side by side.
The new XP machine is intended as a replacement for the old
95 machine. I have no plans to network if they means giving me
the ability to transfer data from one systeme to the next in a direct
manner.

Through the help that I have received here, I plan to buy a Linksys
4-Port 10/100 Cable/DSL Router [BEFSR411] from the local
Best Buy at a net of $49.99 after rebates. In addition a couple
of cables to connect it.

My purpose is to have an Internet Cable connection on both computers
to assist me in transferring data to the new machine and possibly taking
advantage of the video card and associated software on the old machine
for which there is no upgrade to XP for the software and possibly my
HP 5100C scanner. I can just scan and extract from TV whatever I want
and send it to the XP computer by email or floppy. [no CD burner on old
machine]

Thanks to all of you for your continued help.
