Hi Jackie
A UDP (User Datagram Protocol) is the protocol used to
send packets or datagrams over the network or
Internet. The packets are data or information that are
sent and routed to its destination. The routers or
default gateways will read its address (IP addy) that
is included in this datagram and forward it to the
correct destination computer. It can only be used for
broadcasting as it needs a connected network to send
datagrams unlike TCP/IP which is a connectionless
protocol, meaning you don't need both parties to be
connected to communicate.
So, that guy was trying to send you a packet! Gift
wrapped? <G>
Hope I'm not confusing you §:^)
Regards
Tonia
