Hiya Jackie
If you have a bootable ROM Drive you wouldn't need the
boot disks. But you may like to recreate your set of 4
boot disks. You don't have to be in Win 2000 to do
that. All you need is your Win2000 Pro CD and four
diskettes.
Place your Win2000 CD in the drive and bring up the
Run dialog box. Type d:\bootdisk\makeboot a: (where d:
is your CDROM drive)
Click Ok and follow the screen prompts. Don't forget
to label the disks correctly.
You can create the boot disks on a computer running
any version of Windows or MS DOS. But if you use
Win2000 Server CD to create the boot disks, they won't
work with Win2000 Pro. and vice versa.
Have you tried using your ERD to try to repair your
system? I'll send you the instructions on how to do
that in another email as it is a bit long.
If you have installed the video adapter and RAMs and
your machine works all that time, then they are not at
fault. You'll have to look elsewhere for the culprit.
Don't panic yet...there's still time! §:^)
