Hi!
For your information anyone that boots Windows XP in the safe mode will be
as an administrator. The problem may be that inadvertently she did place a
password for something other than the administrator and she really was
putting in a password for administrator. I know it sounds confusing, but
this can happen if you are really new to Windows XP, and who is not new to
this OS. Ask her to try the steps I outlined and see if she can repair the
damage.

Hi

She says she will try that but further explains in regular boot, if she
goes to that feature, it shows her as the administrator. When booting via
safe mode, it shows her and it displays another button (administrator). It's
a quirk of Windows that she has been reading about. Jackie
