Some friends of ours checked their credit report online about a year =
ago. Recently they received a call from a woman who lives clear across =
the country from them but who has THE SAME USER NAME, altho a different =
server. Our friends whole credit report...credit card number, s.s. =
numbers, etc. came to this womans Inbox.
The woman said the site that sent her all of this private info is =
truecredit.com=20
Our friends canceled their credit card right away of course and tried to =
contact someone at this site...calling all times of the day in order to =
find out what is going on. They got a 'real person' only once, in the =
evening, who didn't know anything.
All of this private information that is provided in a credit report in =
floating around 'out there'. So....what can they do? Is there a =
company, or business bureau that can advise them?
Needless to say, it was a good thing that this woman called them.....but =
still!! I wonder how this kind of thing could happen? I told our =
friends that I would pass along the advice I get from the pchelpers ( a =
savy bunch if there every was one!)

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
