Hi Tonia:   you are right but I use the msn hot mail though just incase-- on 
the other hand  it is a real pain in the neck ... I will tell you  something 
your 2 cents is quite valuable  <G>-- Right now I am too tired to think - will

  msimn.exe is a program used by Microsoft Instant
  Messanger and sharing a component with Outlook
  Express. You may need to go to Windows update and get
  whatever hot fixes you need there. Sounds very much
  like your IE 6 acting up again. According to
  Lockergnome, MS Instant Messanger is a pain in the
  neck and not something you want to use anyway! 

  I would uninstall IE6 and install an earlier version
