If it really is warm, and other mice don't work, then perhaps there's
a short somewhere.
If she's using a PS/2 mouse, I'd suggest trying either a USB mouse or
a serial mouse. If it's a serial mouse, try a PS/2 or USB mouse.
DON'T try using an adapter on the current mouse; it could have been
the cause of the problem.
