[pchelpers] Re: loading software on computer

There are several possibilities. As far as you have gone, it it possible
there is a more fundamental problem, such as a faulty partition table on
the hard drive. In some cases it will allow you to get so far before the
files on the disk start to get misplaced. Then you have all kinds of
errors.

So my first step would be go back to DOS level boot (from floppy) and
delete the existing partitions. Set up again and re-format. This will
eliminate partition problems.
