As I understand, when a motherboard allows a mix of Simms and Dimms, they
all run at the slowest speed, which of course, is the Simms (60-70
nanoseconds) instead of the 7-9 nanoseconds of the Dimms (SDRAM). Seem
like a waste of good Dimms to me. I usually yank the Simms and beef up
the SDRAM to the max, or at least to 128 or 256mb, or like I say, to the
max that the motherboard allows. If you want speed, don't shackle it's
legs.
Just a thought from a usually quiet pea brain.

PS A little boy got lost at the pool and found himself in the women's
locker room. When he was spotted, the room burst into shrieks, with
ladies grabbing towels and running for cover. The little boy watched in
amazement and asked,"What's the matter, haven't you ever seen a little boy
before?"
